Iphone 7+ pictures on laptop?

127GB of 128 GB of storage filled on my Iphone 7+

What is the easiest way to transfer the images to my laptop?

Since I accidentally deleted all photos last time, I would like to play it safe this time and ask here.

When I connect cables to laptops, Windows Explorer (this PC) does not display an iPhone symbol, where it is described on the Internet using DCIM etc.

itunes opens and an error message appears:

Itunes could not establish a connection to the iPhone because an error occurred while reading from the device.

Are there alternatives? Can I transfer photos with Icloud?

Try a different cable

delete iTunes and reinstall it then plug in the cable and then it should work

It is best to delete the device from your iCloud list via Settings> iCloud> Remove devices

then your cell phone will be asked for a new connection permit when you connect it
