I have a laptop from Odys that I used for the first time today (I have had it before last Christmas). It still worked this afternoon, but now after I enter the pin there's just not a black screen that does not go away. What can I do?

So as I understand it is a black screen after entering the pin. In this case, an ISO file from Windows could be dragged onto a bootable USB stick and then booted from it. Then select System Repair in the program and restart the laptop after the run.
Now I have to wait 10 minutes for the black screen to go away

Then try it. On the Windows side, install the ISO file downloaded on a USB stick (the USB stick must be bootable) then connect to the laptop, boot into the BIOS from the USB and select Repair System. Or whatever that means…
