I bought a new laptop because my old one broke suddenly. I removed the SSD from the old laptop because important data is stored there.
See the screenshot:
Is there a way to get the SSD data on my new laptop?
You just have to install them…
If your laptop has a free slot for it, you can simply connect it
Otherwise there's e.g. Also a USB adapter for…
In any case, hurry up… If an SSD is disconnected from the power supply for longer, it will break. However, you definitely have 2 years…;)
If there's a slot for this in the new notebook: Yes.
If not: For example something like this https://www.amazon.de/...B0768V995B
Hope that was just a bad joke?
Ne is so. Maybe not broken, but the data is disappearing.
I can't because the docking point between the SSD and mainboard is completely different
Since the data is stored as small voltage bits (don't know what I should call it otherwise), the SSD should be regularly supplied with power so that these voltage bits are retained (every six months or annually). Otherwise, a 1 becomes a 0, the more bits change state, the more the files are damaged. Therefore SSDs are not suitable as long-term storage.
