Which thermal grease for my laptops?

I have 2 laptops each. A slightly older gamer laptop with GTX675 and i7 3rd Gen. And the other one has a GT640 and also a 3rd Gen i7.

Will 4 grams (2g each per laptop) be enough for such onboard chips? And which thermal paste should I buy? Although there's something like a thermal conductivity, but which brand and what material (silicone?) Should I choose? Greeting

Why should there be new thermal paste on it?

Re

So liquid metal is the best starting from 5 euro.

4 grams are more than enough for the few small chips.
You should not buy electrically conductive WLP, so you can't go wrong.
Here is a performance summary: https://www.tomshw.de/2017/06/29/anleitung-messungen-tutorial-thermal-grease/11/

Recommend (price / performance, workmanship and thermal conductivity) I would perhaps the Arctix MX-2, is quite cheap, conducts quite well and is easy to work with.

Gu

The MX-4 is not a liquid metal. But she is not bad.

Because both laptops are almost 6 years old and it would not hurt to swap the paste next to another fan cleaning

Thank you, how much paste is left over? And how good / bad is this here my buddy has?

1) I do not know. But you do not need a lot of WLP, a point in the middle of the chip is enough.

2) No idea, so I have no experience and no test for the product seen. However, I think that given the price in doubt, the paste performs rather poorly, perhaps like other OEM pastes like the Cooler Master IC Value, that makes about 15 ° K, according to THW. If you do not need 30 grams you should buy for less than 5 euro rather less but better paste.
