When I start my notebook the fan gets very, very loud and after about 3 minutes the whole notebook switches itself off. What can it be?
Could be cooling problem.

Ah okay. I can imagine that the thermal paste has dried out. Depending on the laptop, this is easy to replace, good thermal paste (for example the Arctic MX4) is available from around 4 euro.
You have to remove the old thermal grease (preferably with isopropanol or disinfectant) and apply little of the new to the CPU and possibly the graphics card. Old laptops are often easy to open; instructions for your laptop may be found on the Internet.
