I would like to buy a Win 10 OEM license key online. How do I install Win 10 OEM so that the data is retained on my Win 7 laptop?
The offer says: "This product Can't be used to update your system directly from other Windows Edition. '

I would recommend Microsoft's Official Update Assistant. Just download and update your operating system. Since you already have a conclusion for Win 7, you don't need a new one.
You can still upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro for free: https://www.chip.de/...05018.html With the upgrade method, your installed programs, data and settings are retained. But I still recommend saving your important documents on an external hard drive.
It is also recommended to create a Microsoft account if you don't already have one. The activation of Windows 10 Pro will be saved there permanently.
If you have to reinstall Windows 10 Pro using a USB stick, simply log in again with your Microsoft account to Windows 10 Pro. Then it is automatically reactivated. You no longer have to enter a key.
