Stupidly bought a key to upgrade Windows 10. Thought it would work with that too. My plan is to use a stick to install Win 10 on a Linux notebook. Of course, this does not work with the upgrade license, and I now face the problem of how best to get to a "basic version" of Windows.

With the Media Creation Tool you burn the ISO file obtained from Microsoft either on DVD or on a stick…
From there you can then install Windows 10 and activate with your license…
