I just noticed that there's something white in the USB port of my laptop. (See the picture) I don't know what that can be and it looks more like it comes from inside…
I'm very careful with my laptop, so I would be surprised that something broke.
Does anyone know what that is and how I should deal with it? (Repair?)
I would be very grateful for help and information,
Kind regards
Could be glue.
Maybe the varnish has come off at the spot.
I would also say, or that there's a marking that you can recognize it better
You will surely know whether the connection below was completely white and what has broken out of the holder, or whether something has pushed into the crack that has always been there. Are all the cables you had undamaged or a white chip chipped off? The USB port looks fine anyway, maybe it just wobbles now.
But a marker is usually clear (an arrow or whatever).
You're right too
Thanks for the answer, but in the past there was nothing white at all, so it is not a marker… I was able to pull out the white one, it was leaf-like and breaks easily when you press it. Don't know what that was or where it came from, jdf is no longer in it
Then it will probably be glue or a piece of plastic, the latter being less likely.
