Adapter for the switch?

Hi, I want to record my Nintendo Switch to produce some videos for Youtube. Is that possible with a normal HDMI to USB 3.0 converter?

The plan was:

Dock (Switch) → HDMI → Adapter → USB → Laptop

And then the laptop should recognize that as a USB camera.

(and then record in OBS)

Is that possible?

To record you always need (!) A CaptureCard or a Grabber. Otherwise you can't get the picture on your laptop.

I can recommend you good capture cards if you want.
