Why can't I install WhatsApp?

I recently got a laptop and I wanted to install WhatsApp there. I have already created a Microsoft account and could install the app.
Unfortunately, it doesn't go on from there. I press install but nothing happens.
What could that be?

check if you have enough space
you have a sufficient internet connection for the download
Is the website safe?

If all of this doesn't work, I would let a family member or a person from your circle of friends check if they still have an idea. Otherwise you can also first work under WhasApp Web.

Try downloading and installing the https://www.whatsapp.com/...m/download not the Microsoft store. Maybe the store hangs when unpacking the installation file.

At best, check another program through the Microsoft Store, not that it's a general problem.

Maybe because your PC can't receive messages through WA. That runs on the SIM card or on your cell phone number
