New hard drive SSD for my laptop?

I want to replace the hard drive HDD for a faster hard drive SDD. Since I got Win10 Home from the internet, I do not have a CD. Now my question: Can I make a one to one copy if the new hard drive is built in? So I have again Win 10 on the new hard drive. Now we have to pay Win 10, I do not want that. I ask for help, who can give answers that would be great.

You need an at least 8gb usb stick, on it you install the windows media crations tool. Then you take the stick with the program on it put it in the assembled pc. Then he installs Windows.

Whether you have to enter windows-key again I do not know to be honest

The program for the USB stick

As a general rule
You can download the 32-bit Windows 10 ISO and the 64-bit Windows 10 ISO https://winfuture.de/...,3891.html. You can either burn the ISO to a DVD or install a bootable USB stick with the https://rufus.ie/ tool.

A 1: 1 copy I recommend when changing from HDD to SSD not, because many settings need to be adjusted. https://www.pc-magazin.de/ratgeber/windows-von-hdd-auf-ssd-kopieren-umzug-einrichtung-trim-3197333.html you will find a guide to it. Therein the tool https://www.easeus.com/backup-software/tb-free.html is used for cloning.

One should not clone from HDD to SSD Windows, as Windows recognizes when installing what it is for a hard drive and make important settings for it. Your SSD can have a much shorter life if you clone it.

The question is, how did you come to Windows 10 or how did that come to the PC?

Is it a finished PC, where that was already on it?

Was another Windows (7) on it before and you made the free update to Windows 10?
