I'm looking for a laptop for simple internet research and a little bit of office. It should be light and cost around 100 euro.

but a new device is important to me.

do you have any recommendations?

gladly also on the left

thanks in advance to everyone and happy new year!

The cheapest thing that I found quickly and is new is this: https://www.amazon.de/...07Z88NCMR/

But I'm not giving you a letter and seal whether the thing is good or not.
I can well imagine that thing smeared on elaborately made pages with lots of animation.

EDIT: just seen with 40 euro shipping so not so cheap.

Well, even for research it is already tight, it will not last in the long run. There's the purest core scrap in there. 32GB hard drive, 2GB RAM… Well

fe

No question the thing is snot but the questioner wanted a new laptop for 100 euro that was the thing I found quickly.
I also think it's best to take a look at the used market because with a little luck you can get a reasonably smart laptop in the price category.

Although I have to say that I would estimate at least 200-300 euro for a laptop for surfing and office.

So this asking price is the best joke I've heard so far this year…

The most primitive notebooks start at around 300 euro.

And this even applies to used devices, which then turn out a little better:

Maybe you will find something suitable for you there.

If you only have a budget of 100 euro available, I would either wait and save something in your place or buy a used device. If you're only concerned with office and internet, maybe a Chromebook might be an option for you.

At 100 euro we're talking about devices from the lower price segment. Most of it is unfortunately God's better-paid electronic waste and you won't be able to enjoy it for long. There may be few exceptions, but as a rule you don't do yourself a favor.

A tip from me: Check eBay if you can buy a Lenovo ThinkPad T420 (s) cheap there. With a little luck you can get it for less than 100 euro and I think I can do more with it. I already have five (yes, 5) Thinkpads from this model.

"Lenovo ThinkPads"?

To me, that sounds a lot like a residual sale to company-owned employees.

Do you have a current source of supply?

I basically don't trust such offers as can be found on eBay Marketplace. It can be pretty much a gamble.

But please, if it makes snow:

A customs auction would also be a possibly cheap source of supply:

https://www.zoll-auktion.de/auktion/index.php

https://www.zoll-auktion.de/auktion/auktionsuebersicht.php?katid=206&erste_seite=ja

But that is also a pure game of chance. And completely without functional guarantee!

To me, that sounds a lot like a residual sale to company-owned employees.

The ThinkPads that I currently own were all bought privately except for one. Only one of my T420s is a classic "refurbished" notebook from the dealer with a guarantee. It was the most expensive of them all.

Do you have one
current source of supply?

The source of supply would include "refurbed.de", although there are also cheaper providers. Otherwise, I bought most of them privately through eBay classifieds. The last two just before Christmas and everything done right.

One of the purchased T420s got a new original battery some time ago, according to system information it packs a little over 8 hours and can't complain otherwise. There was a nice "booze" with the previous owner included. 😉

I hope these links are "nerdy" enough for you.

So among us nerds, yes they are "nerdy" enough. 😅 By the way - just two of the ThinkPads are "boring out". Two are still running with a barrier in their heads. Now with ModBios flash "By by Whitelist" and then add more RAM. Last but not least - the parts are actually not dead and even macOS runs without grumbling on them. At least with another Wi-Fi card and a little bit of spit. 😉

Stop with your "Notebooksbigeriger"! You don't get anything clever! Just because the site is called cheaper in the end everyone thinks that everything is really cheaper there? On the contrary: some notebooks are even more expensive than elsewhere! So if you are looking for a real office provider but no notebook cheaper!

de

I haven't bought anything there yet. Therefore I know the shop practically only from a distance.

And it is pretty clear that not all (used) devices are always offered at the cheapest price. But a company still gives a certain "guarantee", which you can't get "from private".

And please don't just complain, even if it is perfectly justified.

Please name a few useful sources of supply at the same time so that the questioner can also look there.
