Hi
I wanted to fix my laptop and take the battery out. 1 screw I could pull out without problems, the other two, however, not. I'm just despairing. What can I do quickly?
It is so annoying.
I also tried the rubber band. Does not work.
Pliers or drilling?
Hi Der187,
Maybe you could try it with a pair of pliers. Or so just drip off your head, but that's less than optimal, if you just repair the laptop.
We do not have a drill.
You could sand down the head, which will probably take a long time or maybe drill out with another pointed screw…
You seem to have "turned around" the head with a wrong screwdriver. Try it first with a pair of pliers. But that will most likely slip off. Of course, drilling out the head is possible. But then the screw is still in it, and you have to somehow get out of it. Then the pliers would be in demand again. Looks bad. I've solved this problem a lot more often by sawing a slot in the head of a screw with a saw and screwing it out with a regular flat-head screwdriver. But this is probably not enough space. Just theoretically! Could you weld another screw and turn it out with it? That would work, but is not recommended. One more option (I have already done, but with much larger screws): Reinbohren a hole, cut in the thread, screw in the appropriate screw and thus screw out the screw. Of course, it is hardly feasible so fast and without tools. You will probably have no choice but to drive the thing away. You probably already did that in the meantime.
Oh yes, I forgot: The thread that you cut into, of course, must be a left-hand thread. And the screw you have to turn it must also have one. But is hardly feasible anyway.
Another (probably crazy) idea: stick the tip of the screwdriver in the screw head with superglue (or a two-component adhesive) and then try to unscrew the screw. Could work. Well, probably not, but you could try it yes.
