HDMI cable / adapter combo to multiple outlets?

Dear people

I've been following the community here for a long time and now I have a question I'd like to ask. It's about an HDMI connection on my laptop and a corresponding cable or adapter that I would like to have for it.

Specifically, the adapter should have a normal HDMI connection (type A) on one side that I want to plug into my laptop. There should be three connections on the other side of the adapter: 1) Mini-HDMI (Type C), 2) Micro-HDMI (Type D) and 3) Displayport. If such an adapter can be put together without any problems, a VGA connection would also be great as a fourth connection.

Somehow I can't find something like that online. So first the question: Why isn't there something like that? Does that make no sense or technically not possible? Can I assemble such an adapter myself somewhere or have someone assemble it? Which "workarounds" would alternatively be available without having to walk around with ten adapters?

What is this "multi-adapter" supposed to do?

Would you like to always display the same image on several monitors that are connected to these outputs at the same time?

Or do you need a "universal" monitor output for different connection types?

I found a https://www.amazon.de/...00R7UKPCE/ for the HDMI output.

In addition, a normal HDMI cable and almost all of the connections that you listed above would be feasible.

All you need then is an adapter from https://www.amazon.de/...07G796JF8/ And a normal Displayport cable.

There are also USB adapters that contain a simple "2D graphics card". With USB 3.x these can output FullHD via an HDMI output. There are models for https://www.amazon.de/...08NCL4JKV/ and https://www.amazon.de/...083YZCT41/

This would even enable real 3-display multi-monitoring. So parallel to the notebook display and a monitor at the HDMI output.

I hope I interpreted your wishes halfway correctly.

First of all, many thanks for the detailed answer!

My goal is to connect a single screen as mobile and flexible as possible (on the go) that I don't know beforehand which cable I can use to connect it to my HDMI output on the laptop. It's not about connecting multiple displays at the same time.

With that in mind, Part 1 fits your answer pretty well. I haven't looked at it from this direction (female HDMI + HDMI cable). What is "not ideal" about this solution is the number of adapters that you have to take with you when you are out and about. The USB adapters are then obsolete for my goal.

If you (or someone else) come up with further ideas with this additional information, I would be very happy!

You want it to be so flexible.

And these few cables can be easily stored in a smaller bag.

In my notebook bag I have enough large and small storage compartments for such accessories.
