Why does defragmentation not work, data is always performed and then zero? Can you hang your laptop often?

A defragmentation can mainly With older hard disks (and anyway with the first defragmentation) this takes a long time.

With Win10 the defragmentation takes place in the basic setting, ie: if you have not changed it, automatically - and weekly in the background.
