Had the same thing last week. License extended, now laptop changed. Hope you have an account with Kaspersky. Log in there and you can transfer the active license to your new one.

Just download the software as normal. Either during the download or when you open the software you will surely find something about licensing right at the beginning

You don't need a third party AV, the Windows internal AV is sufficient.
A covered surfing behavior is of course always good.

No you do not need to. At Start -> Settings -> Update and Security -> Windows Security -> Virus & Threat Protection. If everything is green, everything is in the… Green area.
