Disadvantages of computers without operating system?

I want to buy a new laptop and have already chosen a model that is 500 euro cheaper without operating system. Are there any problems when installing the operating system, or can you do anything so wrong that the whole performance of the laptop can't be used, so it does not run optimally? (Aside from buying the right OS version, of course.

It may well be that you have to find suitable drivers for the hardware then first themselves. Depending on the operating system, it may happen that no drivers are available. But if it's not too exotic hardware, it usually works fine.

The 500 euro stir does not guarantee the operating system. A Windows costs a maximum of 100 euro, a notebook manufacturer may cost 20 euro. There has to be another reason for this difference. Refurbished, used goods, RAM storage difference or something.

Here I see more benefits. I accidentally bought my last Fujitsu laptop without an operating system. The Mint DVD from the current Linux user magazine has booted without problems to the elegant desktop. One click on "Install" and 20 minutes later I had a stable, free and user friendly operating system.

All USB devices worked without driver installation, a "virus scanner" is not necessary according to BSI for high-quality operating systems.

Office, mail, media center, photo editing, chat, Riper, MP3, video editing, a secure browser, all this is included as a full version.

Incidentally, operating W7 is pretty much the same as operating the most popular free operating system on the planet. For beginners Mint is so well suited.
