My Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is no longer working and there's a huge scratch on it but on my laptop it registers my cell phone but pictures and videos from my cell phone can't be exported to the computer. Is my cell phone totally damaged or not?
Your computer recognizes your cell phone, but transmission without the cell phone's permission is not possible.
The way it looks and you have described, (I think) only your display is broken.
In my opinion, repairs are no longer worthwhile. The cell phone is a bit older and the repair would exceed the current value of the cell phone.
