I start my studies tomorrow and wanted to ask what I need so roughly everything? (I know it's probably just a bunch of pros here?) Is a lot written down by hand or did you just do it on the laptop etc? Do I need a Federpennal or just a pen?
From experience I know that it is a real pain for some lecturers to write everything down by hand. They talk at a tempo that you can't spend 90 minutes with the pen. That's why a small laptop or a tablet with a keyboard is really worth gold!

Depending on your studies, people write with the laptop, block or not at all. I write e.g. Only rarely with.
Writing is not compulsory, it really does not matter if you are on the mobile phone all the time and if you are listening. So it does not matter if "Federpennal or just a coolie". Just to have said that. University is not school. In all study programs, where not just 5 students are in, your professors do not know you. They do not care what you do.
All you need is at most a block of writing or a laptop.
A little tip: look for friends. Because in uni it is always good to have people with whom you can learn. → study group

I have always had block and lots of food and bottle of water to drink and bread or apples or money for mensa or cafeteria. At that time there were no laptops. And the books that you need, everything in your backpack, but that's what they tell you in the first hours there. Young law students always wear the beautiful fields around eg. Take a curtain lock for the spint if you can use some for the jackets and umbrellas. Good luck and a lot of fun. Get a map of the university at the reception, at the gate.
