Laptop fan software broken?

I cloned my hard drive a few days ago (HDD to SSD). Since then, my fan knows only 2 speeds. A very slow and turbo. Even if the laptop is hardly used, the fan runs on turbo which is extremely annoying. Have already looked in the BIOS and the task manager if everything is ok.

Reinstall the drivers

Fo

Maybe you should clean the fan slots of dust

ta

So the fan driver.

How does it work

Re

Think about it yourself. What should cloning the hard disk have to do with your laptop's fan?

Does not make sense to me.

I can only give you helpful answers for you.

If the laptop is older (which I think because HDD was installed) once clean all fans and suction slots and blow-out slots with a compressed air can or screw the laptop again and clean the fan.

The more your temperature sensor gets dirty, the higher your fan turns and the louder everything gets. In addition, your laptop never cools so well and you give away performance.

So I recommend you to clean the fan, which is a helpful answer.

This may also fix your fan problem.

Can you possibly make a picture of the tab in the BIOS / UEFI where "Fan" is listed. Do you use any additional software (ASUS Ai Suite?)

ta

No, I do not use software only speedfan but it is disabled

Pr

Picture would be really helpful from now on. Possibly. Nevertheless, uninstall the software…

ta

Sorry understand here only station. How do you do that?

Pr

Speedfan → delete

Go into the BIOS and take pictures of everything and upload ;-)

ta

And how do I send the pictures now? Sorry

se

Ah, I've read about the calculator thinks it would still be an HDD, but I just do not know what he does the measure.

I mab an old MBP with now 2 SSD in it and the fan makes exactly as before, so far no solution found.

Try this:

Upload to dropbox or something and then you secrese me in a PN

ta

Yes, but that's why I wonder so too. This has happened since the ssd was installed

ta

I've sent you a request

Hmm. This is a lousy UEFI… Take a test with the test version Burnintest and watch the temperatures
