Suppose you are a student at a university and on the way to the next lecture a student comes by surprise and your laptop falls on the floor and is broken. What would you or what can you do afterwards?
The situation has never happened to me, but I just don't see how to react after this incident.
It is common for the injuring party to be liable for the damage.
Often something like this can be regulated through an existing liability insurance.
However, if the other person thinks they are 'innocent', it may be necessary to ask a witness to report their observation and give their address.
Nobody will have to stick because a laptop bag has a strap. The neck is firm, it will not be able to fall with the shoulder and bag.
If that never happened to you, why are you pestering the world with this hypothetical question? This forum is there to help people. And not to keep them bored.
