Boot the computer from a free live operating system on a USB pen. If you can get to the desktop and start all the programs, the problem is the software on the computer. The hardware is then fine.
You can get the Cinnamon ISO for free on linuxmint.com. With Etcher (or under Mint / USB image maker) it is quickly written on the USB pen.
Switch on the computer with the pen inserted, as soon as the first image appears, press the button for the boot menu - on my Fujitsu computers this is the F12. Simply select the USB data carrier there, the rest will run automatically.
USB pens with a live operating system are also available at IXSOFT for 10 euro.

A virus scanner or an activation code are not required for high-quality and secure operating systems.
