Why won't my graphics card turn on?

Laptop: MSI GT72s 6QE Dominator Pro G

Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 980M

The other day I noticed that my laptop had switched to the onboard graphics card and since I had it before, I knew what I could do. I was able to turn it on again with the button (under the on / off button). Laptop restarts, the LED next to the key is on and the main graphics card is recognized again. Now, however, it is so that it has failed again and this time can no longer be switched on. When the restart process begins, the PC shuts down and tries to start up again with the Nvidia (I can see that on the LED) but the laptop crashes after about 3-4 seconds and starts up again without the Nvidia. Unfortunately, I have little idea about PCs and I hope someone can help me here.

How do you know that the laptop crashes after 3 - 4 seconds? Does it make a noise like when you press the power button for a long time?

Try to update the driver. Or uninstall the graphics card in the device manager if Windows 10. (Don't worry, it's harmless, it just installs it again when you restart).

Yes, it clicks very quietly once. Both LEDs are off briefly (power and GPU) and it starts up without GPU

It's also a thing that I don't understand because as long as the Nvidia is off, I can only access the Intel HD Graphics. In the device manager e.g. And Geforce Expirence only says: "No drivers available" and the rest is grayed out.

Oke, try downloading and installing the driver for your graphics card from the NVIDIA homepage. Maybe you already have this. At the bottom right next to the clock there may be an icon belonging to the software. Then search for an update in this software.
