What happens if I deactivate my graphics card and the other one doesn't start?

What happens then? I have 2 graphics cards installed in my but my laptop recognizes the 2nd GPU in the device manager but not in the "graphics settings" where you can choose whether you want to use a high-performance or energy-saving graphics card. There's only the one that is integrated in the CPU. With the AMD software I can't get it to choose one, so it says under Microsoft that one of the graphics cards should be deactivated in the device manager. But what if I still don't get the other one? Do I then have an irreparable black screen? Or can I put it back? Or does the laptop switch the other one on again because it notices that the one that has not been deactivated does not work?

So one device can't be deactivated if another one is not available. After the restart, the graphics card has to start again if you ask me. If not, you have to reset the BIOS on the board. Then everything is back to 0.

So first write down the bios settings in case

See if you come into the BIOS immediately after starting and there you can select the currently active graphics card or the graphics chip.

if there's no option, the device must automatically activate one of the two. If it does not, there's a defect.

Yes, always good. Respectively. You can definitely save a profile on new boards.

So

Then there's probably a defect because it only ever takes the internal GPU

Where exactly is the problem? Doesn't the dedicated one activate when playing?

P.S: I would recommend refraining from BIOS tampering.

So

When playing, only the integrated graphics card is active and otherwise only that

About the bios. That much me as well just slowly I'm desperate because nobody can help me. AMD Support does not answer and with HP Support I can only make phone calls because I no longer have a guarantee

ka

Basically, the integrated GPU should be active during normal operation, this is not an error. Has the problem just started?

So

Honestly, I don't know, I have had the laptop for a long time but only now have a look because I was surprised that my FPS were so down
