I would like to buy a new laptop / notebook. My current one does not have a good battery and is constantly on the charger, and it keeps hanging up. However, I don't think that's enough to persuade my parents, otherwise it works well.
Do you have any other arguments?
Your parents will try to keep every penny together in this crisis, childish luxury wishes are not a priority now. Live with it. Many families are concerned with bare existence, apparently you haven't noticed that yet.
You can buy a new battery on Ebay for very little money… That's why you don't need a new computer… Think about the environment…
