I would like to buy the Sims3 and wanted to ask you if it works on my laptop:
Processor: Intel Core i5 - 7200U CPU
2.5GHz - 2.7GHz
Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit
Intel HD Graphics 620
16GB ram, 256GB SSD
I'm not particularly sure about the graphics card, because I don't really know which one is better and worse… Here is the link to the minimum requirements: https://at.thesims3.com/game/systemreq
Yes it will work Sims 3 is ancient
Will run, but more badly than right in a nutshell. Although Sims is already old and there's not much to calculate and display
It will run. But beautiful is different. This is mainly due to the Intel graphics.
It gets very bumpy with mods and CCs.
Your DualCore CPU will also blow.
I wouldn't want to play SIMS4 on it either. But you're asking for SIMS 3.
Thank you for your answer! Quick question: do you think it would work better with a MacBook Pro, 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB Ram and Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1546mb? Actually, I don't think a Macbook is meant to be played due to the graphics card, but is it better than my other laptop?
Yes, the IrisPro is considerably better, but the Apple as such is the problem and not the built-in iGPU.
How is Apple the problem?
The rather bad port to Apple OS and the poor implementation and support from Apple for games… Was never really designed for it.
Sims 3 runs on the laptop. Don't necessarily stop at the highest settings.
