Hello dear community of good questions!

My laptop doesn't have a lot of memory and since games take up a lot of storage space, I wanted to buy a micro SSD with adapter.

Could it then work that I save games from Steam to the Micro SSD card?

Will the quality of the game suffer?

Sure, why shouldn't this work? 🙂 Is also a storage medium. Would also be quick enough ☝️
I hope I could help you further, stay healthy and happy Easter

Thank you for the answer!

I just wanted to be sure because I'm not very familiar with such topics!

I assume you mean a micro SD card.
How much memory does your hard drive have? It might be better to replace the hard drive with a larger SSD. 256 or 512 GB SSDs don't cost the world anymore.
Micro SD card with adapter will be relatively slow. Therefore either replace the existing disk or use an external hard drive with a USB 3 connection.

I'm sorry for my wrong wording, I don't really know anything about that.

To your question: my hard drive has 120 GB.

Gr

The wording is ok. I just wanted to make sure I understood you correctly.
It would be a matter of trying, which is faster. USB stick with 128GB is available for 18 euro:

SSD with 256 GB for 40 euro - of course it is more complex to replace and you would have to clone the old disk to the new one.

If you mean a micro SD card… It would certainly work, but the transfer rate (would have taken a long time to load) would be pretty slow.

Why don't you just buy a bigger hard drive for your laptop?

Or an external hard drive / SSD or or?

A memory card is definitely the worst idea.
