I was in the process of populating Arch on a laptop with Windows installed, but after creating 3 partitions with fdisk, I received an error message. All you have to do is delete the existing partitions, then everything will be gone.
In theory, you could overwrite the data in the MBR or in the GPT. In practice, it would make more sense to name your error message here.
