Hi, I have a notebook disassembled and want to format the HDD Samsung internal hard drive with NTFS but can't get it so in the disk management I can see the hard drive but normal computer> Order not and how can I format the hard drive now I do not really have one concrete instructions to do so I use Mac OS and Windows 7 so I like all the useful information ago I've tried synonymous with external programs on the Mac (Fuse, Mounty, NTFS FOR MAC) to format the hard drive but despite repeated attempts, I do not see the hard drive the programs on Mac with windows I see the hard drive but nothing more.
To understand this, you must note that the Exporer displays drives and no hard drives. And only if you have assigned a drive letter to the drive.
You must therefore create a drive in the disk management on the hard drive (= volume) and then assign the drive letter there.
Formats the HDD there automatically.
If that's going to be an NTFS drive, it's better to use Windows directly. Unfortunately NTFS is not completely documented for "external companies", so I would only go this way if there's no other way.
Thanks for the answer but how can I do it exactly it is a recovery partition hard drive from Samsung and somehow nothing works what I should do according to the network
What do you want to do exactly with the HDD?
If you want to operate them as a normal data hard disk, then you can right-click in Disk Management on the drive / volume in question and delete with Volume first remove the existing drives and give the space free.
If you still want to save the data or want to use the hard disk as it is, then also right-click and assign a drive letter with "Change drive letters and paths".
Then you have access to the Explorer and can also format if necessary.
