I have a game favorite "Simply brilliant", whose graphics suddenly shrink completely when I open it with the laptop lid closed.
This has never been the case because I have connected a monitor and therefore do not need the laptop display.
Got this game on a disc and already uninstalled and reinstalled. But the same result. If I want to have a decent picture, then I have to open the laptop cover when starting the game and also during the game. And that is very annoying for me, because it moves the monitor.
I have Win 10 and Firefox as a browser.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
Look in the control panel of the laptop. I suspect that there's somewhere in the "Energy" settings that the energy-saving mode is activated when the laptop cover is closed.
If you then switch to "onboard graphics" or the like instead of the graphics card, this occurs.
You have two options:
Disable power saving mode when closing the laptop cover. Make sure that the laptop always runs at full system power, even if you close the lid.
Leave the laptop open. If the screen irritates you, just turn it over.
The Lapi is set to "do nothing" when closing the lid.
Did you also check the energy settings?
Perhaps you could explain again in more detail what you mean by "zoom out". What exactly happens when you close the laptop lid?
And: Which graphics card does the laptop have?
