USB C connection Notebook Alternate Mode?

How can I see that a USB C port can operate a monitor. So supports the alternate mode?

To be able to connect a monitor you don't necessarily need the alternate mode. But you can tell from the instruction manual or the symbol. But that with the symbol is now so complicated that even the manufacturers label some things incorrectly… Better look at the manual
