Hi, wanted to connect my phone with the PC via USB to save some pictures but unfortunately appears on the PC only the message that the USB device is not recognized. Did the phone and the PC restarted, brought no success. Have tried different USB and other USB cable. Also brought no success. I tried to connect the phone to the laptop and computer, did not work with both, so the problem would have to be on the phone.
Does anyone know advice? Because the day before yesterday, that still worked.
Did you activate mass storage mode?
Did you also allow the phone to copy data? (There's usually a message)
How do I activate this?
How do I allow my phone to copy files?
As I said a message should come
: D depends on your phone… Ios… Android… Or other OS.
with google would you be faster…
If the device is not recognized then it could be due to the data cable.
Yes I have, problem still there.
Right: First action in such problems: Exchange the cable.
Look under device drivers.
To do this, go to System Preferences, Devices and Printers, Manage Devices or select Device Manager (all while your phone is connected to the PC via the cable). Then you look at what symbol a yellow exclamation point is.
As you click right click on it and go to properties.
Here you can read the driver. You enter this in Googel and install in yourself (pay attention to respectable pages).
Zack it should be solved eigendlich ^^
Improves me if something is listed incorrectly but the order should be correct.
MFG, I hope I could help.
You can also enter Device Manager in the search bar, then you should also get there
Ps: are then funny names like gt_________ or 553428 … So any key combination xD
That was not a joke. I have such a "loose cable" that works either completely or only loads after an error message as described by the asker.
I once had a cable break in the plug of an IDE cable.
I would have exchanged almost an undamaged hard drive at that time.
Since: Always check the cables. (Are the cheapest components)
