I currently use my laptop to operate a Wi-Fi hotspot because I only have half an hour of internet access per day on my main PC (Fritz box child protection) to circumvent this.
Unfortunately the Internet from the hotspot is significantly slower (10 mbs) than normal (500mbs). Are there any ways to make this hotspot faster?
Perhaps by moving the laptop closer or by packing a LAN cable into the laptop
Otherwise, it may be because the rate is limited or your laptop is too old
Another option is to connect your cell phone to your PC via USB and set up a so-called USB hotspot
As long as you have Android, you can then give yourself a hotspot for your pc from your mobile phone via Wi-Fi
