Why can't I navigate to the destination folder in my Linux mint terminal?

I have Mina Mina 19.2 Tina installed on a laptop - and now wants to install my printer (Samsung M2020). For this I would have to navigate through the terminal (in the folder "Downloads" downloaded drivers) with Ubuntu has ever worked (with cd downloads, etc.) But with Mint-Mate I get the following answer after entering the command: " bash: cd: Downloads: File or directory not found ".
