It becomes problematic with graphs or general sketches right?
I always found a laptop at university to be extremely impractical and practically only used it for lectures. For the transcript I think One block the better choice.
I only take my laptop with me when I have to write a log. Otherwise it is simply too cumbersome, especially because some tables are too small and you can't recharge everywhere. In addition, the risk of distraction is much lower with pen and block and you can learn better once you've written it down. One of my lecturers always says eye-hand-coordination is the best at a lecture. But everyone has their own preferences, maybe you won't find it too bad with a laptop.
You could also do everything with pen and paper.
And then take pictures / scan.

Or stop with a pen and tablet or with a corresponding screen on a laptop.

In a good lecture you write little and have all the documents from the lecturer and do most of the thinking.
