I forgot the password of my Iphone SE a long time ago. I'm currently trying to connect to Itunes by holding down the home button and at the same time connecting the device to my laptop via USB cable (as recommended on the support website). However, there's still an indication that the iPhone is encrypted with a password and that the device can't connect.
Connect the iPhone to the PC with a USB cable and then press the home button and power button simultaneously and hold them down until the iTunues logo appears on the iPhone.
And then?
Then he should be able to reset it easily via iTunes.
If coupled with your iCloud, the PW can be reset via it.
Yes. After entering the password. Unfortunately he only forgot that.
The problem is that I was logged into this iphone with a different Apple ID that no longer exists
Then you can use it as a paperweight.
That should work without a password. (in recovery mode described)
What does no longer mean?
