Computer seems to have hung?

I decided today to reset my laptop, so completely new. However, the process now takes 3 hours and the progress indicator has been at 42% for one hour and has not moved. Is that normal or did he hang up? What if he stops working, what should I do because simply switching off in the middle of this process would most likely scrap the computer. So what does anyone have an idea?

Maybe he was depressed.

Let him wait a little longer, if you can't continue you have to restart him

Forced off and on again. They are often finished.

You can't scrap it with it.

Cancel the reset. Simply switch off the laptop. It is better to reinstall Windows 10 cleanly. It works like this:

Download the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website. You can use it to create a Windows 10 USB boot stick. You need an empty formatted USB stick with at least 8GB.
Then simply boot the created stick and follow the instructions of the assistant. It offers the possibility to delete everything. You should do that. During the installation, the laptop is restarted several times.
You do not have to enter the product key because it is permanently integrated in the BIOS and is automatically adopted. If you get a message that you have to enter the product key, just skip it.
After completing the installation and starting Windows 10 for the first time, it will automatically be reactivated.
The last step is to go to the manufacturer's website for your laptop. Download and install the drivers there.

It is always better to reinstall cleanly than to reset. The Windows 10 USB boot stick should be kept safe for emergencies.
