The display of my laptop is actually rectangular, but recently the display shows everything in the form of a square, so that only black is displayed on both edges of the display.
Do you know how to get this out? Unfortunately I didn't find anything else on the Internet…

PS: I think (but I'm not sure) that this display was created from a wrong key combination, which I must have pressed by mistake, otherwise everything works perfectly.
You have to change the resolution in the ad settings
Which operating system do you use?
Under older Windows versions: Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Adjust screen resolution
In Windows 10 it is no longer Control Panel but Settings. But there's also a place where you can set the screen resolution.
