Laptop frozen? - 1

I've had a laptop for about 5 months. So far everything is ok, only today it is just frozen. After that I pressed the power button until it shut down. The lights on the keyboard were still on but the mouse pointer wouldn't move at all move more. When I started it, everything was fine again. Was it just a coincidence or is my laptop damaged?

If such a dropout happens, everything is fine and keep watching

Je

That can happen, as long as it doesn't happen more often, everything is fine

Sw

As soon as this only happens for a specific software reason, and rarely, then everything is fine.

There are no coincidences in the iT but in the event of a single crash I would rule out a hardware defect. Your computer would also behave differently. Can be a programming error in the software.

Open the Event Viewer and then navigate to "Windows Logs / System" in the top left.

A list with lots of "information" and "warnings" opens. Attention should be paid to "errors" and especially to the entries named as "critical". These can all be displayed at once with the "Filter current log" function on the far right so that you don't have to search for a long time.
