Even most PC laptops you buy have no drive installed. Can it be that CDs die out? If I think about it, I hardly know any people who use CDs
Because that's because nowadays you buy and download games and programs digitally, which is the case with Steam and Origin.
Yes DVDs are likely to slowly die out because of Blueray.
So since we don't have internet on vacation, we still use DVDS for cinema evening.
I do not think so. On my last PC, I actually added a floppy disk drive out of nostalgia, which I never used in the end, but if I now install a CD / DVD / Bluray burner, tell me when the BluRay dies. Pure CD drives / burners are of course obsolete. But not for music CDs. DVD drives / burners, however, can be seen either way.
It is quite possible. VRS was also thought in the past and the diskette could never die out. But nothing can go without replacement. Now streaming is in, but not all things go online for a few little things you still need a CD, but it has become a rare sight.
I thought they were already extinct… I recently put 2 large boxes of CDs in the memory, and the next thing is the books, since I only read about Kindle anyway
They are already.
I listen to music on youtube.
