I'm planning ahead of the future…

Is there an AMD Radeon Vega graphics card that has more power than an NVidia GeForce GTX 970?

If there's such an AMD Radeon Vega graphics card, is there a laptop that also has an AMD Radeon Vega graphics card with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Ryzen 5 2500X processor with Windows 10 Home / Home Premium 64-bit? (Link please)

As already said Vega56 & 64 are much stronger.

The 56 consumes 210W, so that you will hardly find it in a laptop, a R5 2500x is a desktop CPU (even a pretty unusual, since it is only delivered to OEMs and is not commercially available), desktop CPUs not laptops installed.

Also a 970 you will not find in a laptop, if at all the 970m…

Can it be that you can't distinguish between mobile and desktop components?

With a laptop you should rather resort to an Intel CPU. Whereby the new 3XXX processors from AMD should have enough power.

At least in the case of your Ryzen 2500u, I would like to have said that. Although it is as fast as an i5 8250u in multicore applications, the single-core and quad-core performance is sometimes 10-15% worse. Translation: The processors are about the same speed if they are allowed to use all cores. If the load is placed on one or a few cores (by the application or the game), Intel is faster. 10-15% do not sound like much, but they can mean 10-30 FPS for you while playing.

A graphics card with 8GB VRAM is hard to find. You could take a laptop with a Ryzen 5 1600, but there the waste heat is gigantic and you can hardly use it mobile.

At Intel you have better maps there:

Well, starting with the RX 570, every card has more power than the 970. But you're looking for a laptop with a Vega graphics card? There are only graphic units. The cards consume too much watts and costs as much as 400 euro. Max 430 euro it is scarce, especially since there are actually no 970 for laptops. Only a 970m. And the 2500x exists only for OEM manufacturers. In addition, that would be too much waste heat → because desktop CPU.

So the next time inform.

"A graphics card with 8GB VRAM is hard to find"

I hope you mean that in terms of laptops, although there's that. Only stop in the area >> 1000 euro
