I've needed a new smartphone for a long time. At the moment I tend to go for an S20 FE, but I'm not sure which of the versions makes more sense for me, the one with 5G and SD 865 but only 6GB RAM and 128GB memory, or the one with LTE and Exynos 990 but lush 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage.
They don't differ much in terms of price, but the version with LTE is a bit cheaper. I often do multitasking with my smartphone, not infrequently I have 2 apps open at the same time and 1-3 still running in the background, I also value longevity, i.e. Components that are technically acceptable for as long as possible. At best, I want to be able to use the cell phone in 5 years without it becoming obsolete in terms of hardware or software.
5G is not particularly important to me, as I think that the network in Germany will only deliver usable 5G reception in 5 years at the earliest. I occasionally gamble on my mobile phone, but mostly for no more than an hour and rarely more complex games like CODM, I'm also not a power user who uses my smartphone for several hours a day, most of the time I spend in front of my notebook, that's why I feel like it the power consumption is also not particularly important, but when I go out the battery should last for a while. As far as the memory is concerned, I don't care at all because I've got along well with 32GB so far, so 128GB will be more than enough.
I'm torn that the two models are so similar, but I'm afraid that one of the options will turn out to be a flop (or at least not quite as I see it) in a few years or even sooner, while the other will turn out to be better would have been. I would be happy if I received their opinion and purchase recommendation from a few experts and experienced users. LG
If you don't value 5G much, 8GB RAM is better.
The difference also amounts to the SoC.
I can't do anything with it, would you please explain it to me?
The 5G model is more recommendable in every aspect, I'll write a detailed answer to this.
The S20 FE 5G can be recommended across the board. Even the 2 gb are more or less almost negligible.
With the S20 FE 5G you get a Snapdragon 865 SoC which works much more efficiently and also provides constant performance and does not break under load like the Exynos in the 4G variant. I recommend this video to bring you closer to the comparison:
More recommendable and interesting devices on my part would be:
