Images are not deleted after transfer?

I have often tried to transfer photos and videos from my phone to my laptop (with cut / paste) - which is not a problem, but the photos do not erase on my phone. Why is that? What can you do that it will be automatically deleted?

(I have a Samsung Galaxy S8)

Re

Do you transfer the pictures with a USB cable or a memory card / memory card reader?

Gr

Via USB cable

Re

Which app on the phone do you use to look at the pictures? The Samsung "Gallery App"?

Cr

Probably the cloud

Gr

Yes exactly.

I would say so too.

If you are sure that you will cut it and not copy it.
It's not possible to just pull over. That would copy, because it is in another "drive"

Cr

(with cut / paste)

Gr

Yes, I always cut them out. But if it's up to the cloud, can I handle it somehow?

Re

Try to copy and delete better, instead of cutting - is sometimes better.

Well you have to do in the attitude of the cloud, which you use either the sync of the pictures completely out or only one direction. So no sync but a backup from mobile to cloud but not the other way around.

I do not have sync. If you break phone, it does not itch me. The pictures taken are on the SD card and the stuff from the chat remain, as I do not use WhatsApp but Telegram and this application runs on a cloud so either way nothing is stored on my phone, as long as I do not download it

Many thanks for the help! Will try it then.
