Usb socket does not work suddenly?

My laptop has 3 USB ports 2 left and 1 right. The two on the left suddenly stop working, only the one on the right. What has happened there?

Fo

Start the laptop again, then it could work again.

fa

Contact interrupted, caused by "wobble" a cold solder joint.

Driver chip for the jacks defective, short circuit, or whatever.

One chip is responsible for 2 sockets.

Or driver problems, possibly helps a reboot. Or driver update.

Su

Depending on which terminals are connected to the jacks, the functionality or ability of some devices may appear to be incorrect!

Then it is important to know which devices you want to connect via USB.
Have any programs / drivers been recently installed or updated?
Are all 3 USB slots USB 2.0 or 3.0 inputs?

Before that one can only guess ;-)

Yu

The two links are 3.0 sockets. I had always plugged in one of the two mouse and suddenly over night the mouse no longer sparks, not even the printer. Just like the second 3.0 jack, only on the right side of the 2.0 jack everything works. Driver I've checked, are all up to date.

Yu

My laptop is restarted every morning - that can't be.

Su

Is one of your devices you want to connect a 3.0 device?

Yu

I do not really know that, but the mouse and the printer have worked with the 3.0 socket so far, and now both work on the 2.0 jack. But because I only have one socket, I always have to back and forth when I work with the mouse and want to print something.

Su

Then please go into the Device Manager and disable all USB ports or uninstall all USB ports and then stare the computer again!

Open Device Manager → Controller → Scroll down and disable / uninstall all USB ports.

After a reboot, the computer reinitializes all USB ports and installs all related drivers.

Yu

Has not synonymous brought anything, neither disable nor uninstall. Must be a pilgrimage to the Sony repair shop.

Su

Are the USB interfaces in the device manager recognized?

Yu

After I deactivated USB Generic Hub and USB Root Hub, the 2.0 socket did not work either. After the restart, the 2.0 socket will re-spark, but the two 3.0 sockets will not work. What is going on?

Su

Then probably a contact is broken
