I like to play games but I'm not sure if it is good for my notebook.
How do you mean? Maybe it overheats and suffers damage?
It definitely won't happen. Before a modern notebook / PC overheats, it throttles performance and you may have strong lags or, in the worst case, the game crashes.
I'll put it this way: high utilization and thus a lot of heat always hurts, but that's what computers are made for. Your notebook will no longer last 10 years but only 9.7 or so
Of course, this has a minor impact on the lifespan. But you have a notebook to use it. If I never switched on my television, it would last much longer.
A PC doesn't care which program it runs.
The mechanical principle does not apply here either - the less the longer.
This does not matter to the PC either, only the components suffer when they are not used.
