Can I reset the laptop without first making a backup? Is the Windows 10 license still available after the reset, or do I have to buy a new one?
The license stays there as long as you don't do a clean install, so as long as you only click on reset in the settings you don't have to buy anything new.
We did the same with my old laptop. We backed up windows 10 to a usb stick and deleted all drivers, etc. Like an empty thing. You will definitely need a backup of Windows 10. If you just want to reset it, you don't need any of that.
