No, if you have not made a backup, this is no longer possible.

If you don't have a backup, this is no longer so easy. You can of course go to the police and ask them if the computer specialists can help you restore the data. I don't think so. Otherwise I would simply update to Windwos 10 and tell your grandparents that you have replaced the laptop (costs 35 euro for you at Lizengo). That may save you trouble with them, a kind of "compensation".
It used to be system recovery. You could choose the time. See if Win 7 does the same.
