A former friend of mine, we talked about my autism exam and the results that followed, said she also noticed that something was wrong with me, but she also can't say where it came from. She said I was different from the others. For example, I like "children's things", such as Sailor Moon items (which are geared towards adults, such as a Sailor Moon backpack with a laptop compartment or a Sailor Moon t-shirt in size XL (42/44). I also have a 16 cm large mouse as a key fob. However, I had always behaved more spiritually than my peers. So my love for stuffed animals, for example, has no promise.
I don't know what's so bad about it, but okay. I had a teacher who had the elephant from the show with the mouse on the backpack as a pendant and I don't think it can be deduced from the intelligence. She said that because of that I had a lower or lower IQ and I was also slow in thinking. I have now asked around in my circle of friends and no one noticed that I was slower in my thinking. And if I had such a low IQ, I would not have been able to achieve an intermediate level, despite a difficult psychological situation and relatively few studying in a junior high school.
Can I really be slow in thinking? Actually, I don't notice any of it, except that I'm slowly doing it. I now ask my supervisor of assisted living, who has known me for a long time.
I'm 27 years old and have a my little pony backpack and a Sailor Moon couch blanket, I do not find myself "strange" or anything like that.
So for me a trailer or a backpack is not an indicator of any mental restriction. Unfortunately we do not know you and your appearance in order to be able to give any opinion. But yes, if you can handle it and stand over it, ask other people how they perceive you.
After your description it seems to me that everything is fine with you. Being different is something nice and the older you get, the more you can accentuate yourself and the more other people will accept you. Especially "slow thinking" seems to me to be an advantage because you think more about what you actually want to say while others are simply impulsive.
I think you really shouldn't worry.
Hallo Tanja
Congratulations on passing the middle school. Perhaps you differ from the big crowd in your interests. But that has nothing to do with a low IQ. On the contrary, people with autism or Asperger syndrome often have very special skills in an area of their interest. Under no circumstances do you need to justify yourself. You are ok the way you are. We're friends with a couple; the father has Asperger's syndrome. He is very knowledgeable in IT matters and can e.g. Focus for a very long time.
