I recently found my 2 old and broken Nintendo 3DS XL and I know from my brother's device that recordings can be saved on an SD card and on the system, I have already checked the SD cards on a laptop with SD -slot, but both were empty.
Therefore I'm asking where the data that is saved under "System" is in the device and whether I can still get there.
By the way, they are broken because they broke into 2 parts, so no water damage or anything, one of them is still on.
I'm absolutely no technology expert, but i used to play a lot on my 3DS, and as far as i know you can only make this setting (so that it comes from the system to the SD card) in the DS's "photo app". I don't think that you can isolate the photos from the internal memory and open them externally - but as I said I'm not sure about that point.
