Connect Smartboard & Laptop with the following cable?

I would like to connect my laptop to a smartboard and would like to buy a cable. On the Smartboard should be transmitted in real time, what I do on the PC. Is this possible with this connection cable?

Hard to tell, without knowing which notebook and which smartboard is used. The cable shown is an HDMI / DisplayPort cable. Assuming that the smartboard has HDMI and the notebook DisplayPort, the cable would be ok.

Is there a cable that I can connect through USB (smartboard) and HDMI (laptop)?
